- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
The civil causes of action established in this Article shall be proved by a preponderance of the evidence, except as otherwise expressly provided in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 42-64 (1995, c. 419, s. 1.)
