Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 58-79-22

  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. Any business entity licensed to sell automatic weapons as a federal firearms dealer that is in the business of selling firearms or ammunition and that operates a firing range which rents firearms and sells ammunition that desires to be exempt from the door lock requirements of Chapter 10 of Volume 1 of the North Carolina State Building Code may apply for a permit to do so with the Department in accordance with N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-143.4 and rules adopted by the Department. The Department shall charge a permit fee of five hundred dollars ($500.00) for the issuance of a permit issued pursuant to N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-143.4 (2001-324, s. 2.)
