Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 81A-28
- Package: is a ny commodity put up or packaged in any manner in advance of sale in units suitable for either wholesale or retail sale. See North Carolina General Statutes 81A-9
- Weight: when used in connection with any commodity is net weight; provided, however, where the label declares that the product is sold by drained weight, weight means net drained weight. See North Carolina General Statutes 81A-9
In addition to the declarations required by N.C. Gen. Stat. § 81A-27, any package being one of a lot containing random weights of the same commodity and bearing the total selling price of the package shall bear on the outside of the package a plain and conspicuous declaration of the price per single unit of weight at the time it is offered for retail sale.
