Terms Used In North Carolina General Statutes 108A-27.15

  • Appeal: A request made after a trial, asking another court (usually the court of appeals) to decide whether the trial was conducted properly. To make such a request is "to appeal" or "to take an appeal." One who appeals is called the appellant.
  • property: shall include all property, both real and personal. See North Carolina General Statutes 12-3

(a) Any assistance programs established under this Part, whether administered by the Department or the counties, are not entitlements, and nothing in this Part shall create any property right.

(b) The Standard Work First Program is a program of temporary public assistance for the purpose of an appeal under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-79 (1997-443, s. 12.6.)
