- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. (a) For every State fiscal quarter prior to the fiscal quarter in which N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-54.3A(24) becomes effective, the State retention component is zero.
(b) For the State fiscal quarter in which N.C. Gen. Stat. § 108A-54.3A(24) becomes effective, and each State fiscal quarter thereafter, the State retention component is ten million seven hundred fifty thousand dollars ($10,750,000) for each assessment quarter. (2023-7, s. 1.6(b).)
