- Commission: shall mean the North Carolina Wildlife Resources Commission. See North Carolina General Statutes 143-238
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories, so called; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the said district and territories and all dependencies. Appointments to fill vacancies of gubernatorial appointees on the Commission occurring by reason of death, disability, resignation or otherwise shall be made by the Governor for the balance of the unexpired terms by appointment of a member from the State at large, or from the appropriate district in accordance with the procedure set out in N.C. Gen. Stat. § 143-241 Appointments to fill vacancies of those members of the Commission appointed by the General Assembly shall be made under N.C. Gen. Stat. § 120-122 The Governor shall have the power to remove any member of the Commission from office for misfeasance, malfeasance or nonfeasance.
