Terms Used In Iowa Code > Chapter 135K - Backflow Prevention Assembly Testers
- Approved course: means a course covering the testing and repair of backflow prevention assemblies which has been approved by the department. See Iowa Code 135K.1
- Backflow prevention assembly: means a device or means to prevent backflow into the potable water system. See Iowa Code 135K.1
- Department: means the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing. See Iowa Code 154A.1
- Department: means the department of inspections, appeals, and licensing. See Iowa Code 135K.1
- following: when used by way of reference to a chapter or other part of a statute mean the next preceding or next following chapter or other part. See Iowa Code 4.1
- Person: means a natural person. See Iowa Code 154A.1
- Registered backflow prevention assembly tester: means a person who has successfully completed an approved course and has registered with the department. See Iowa Code 135K.1
