- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
- Public records: means the same as defined in section 22. See Iowa Code 8A.101
No member of the commission or head of an agency shall be held liable for damages or loss, or civil or criminal liability, because of the destruction of public records pursuant to the provisions of this subchapter or any other law authorizing their destruction.
