Terms Used In Iowa Code 135R.9
- Ambulatory surgical center: includes a facility certified or seeking certification as an ambulatory surgical center under the federal Medicare program or under the medical assistance program established pursuant to chapter 249A. See Iowa Code 135R.1
- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- License: means a license issued by the state under this chapter to a hearing aid specialist. See Iowa Code 154A.1
- Person: means a natural person. See Iowa Code 154A.1
Any person establishing, operating, or maintaining any ambulatory surgical center without a license commits a serious misdemeanor, and each day of continuing violation after conviction shall be considered a separate offense.
