1. A person shall not take a predominantly white deer in this state.

Terms Used In Iowa Code 481A.124
- Farm deer: means the same as defined in section 170. See Iowa Code 481A.1
- Person: means an individual, partnership, firm, corporation, or association. See Iowa Code 462A.2
- Person: shall mean any person, firm, partnership, or corporation. See Iowa Code 481A.1
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" may include the said district and territories. See Iowa Code 4.1
- Whitetail: means an animal belonging to the Cervidae family and classified as part of the Virginianus species of the Odocoileus genus, commonly referred to as whitetail. See Iowa Code 481A.1
2. This section only applies to whitetail, other than farm deer that are kept as provided in chapter 170.
3. A person violating subsection 1 is guilty of a simple misdemeanor.
