- Guardian: A person legally empowered and charged with the duty of taking care of and managing the property of another person who because of age, intellect, or health, is incapable of managing his (her) own affairs.
633.634 Combination of petitions.
If, prior to the time of hearing on a petition for the appointment of a guardian or a conservator, a petition is filed under the provisions of § 633.556, 633.557, or 633.591, the court shall combine the hearings on the petitions and determine who shall be appointed guardian or conservator. The petitions shall be triable to the court.
