692A.119 Sex offender registry fund.
A sex offender registry fund is established as a separate fund within the state treasury under the control of the department. The fund shall consist of moneys received as a result of the imposition of the penalty imposed under § 692A.110 and other funds allocated for purposes of establishing and maintaining the sex offender registry, conducting research and analysis related to sex crimes and offenders, and to perform other duties required under this chapter. Notwithstanding § 8.33, unencumbered or unobligated moneys and any interest remaining in the fund on June 30 of any fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund of the state, but shall remain available for expenditure in subsequent fiscal years.
