Terms Used In Iowa Code 802.2B
- Child: includes child by adoption. See Iowa Code 4.1
- following: when used by way of reference to a chapter or other part of a statute mean the next preceding or next following chapter or other part. See Iowa Code 4.1
- Indictment: The formal charge issued by a grand jury stating that there is enough evidence that the defendant committed the crime to justify having a trial; it is used primarily for felonies.
- person: means individual, corporation, limited liability company, government or governmental subdivision or agency, business trust, estate, trust, partnership or association, or any other legal entity. See Iowa Code 4.1
802.2B Other sexual offenses.
An information or indictment for the following offenses committed on or with a person who is under the age of eighteen years may be commenced at any time after the commission of the offense:
1. Lascivious acts with a child in violation of § 709.8.
2. Assault with intent to commit sexual abuse in violation of § 709.11.
3. Indecent contact with a child in violation of § 709.12.
4. Lascivious conduct with a minor in violation of § 709.14.
5. Sexual misconduct with a juvenile in violation of § 709.16, subsection 2.
6. Child endangerment in violation of § 726.6, subsection 5, 6, or 7.
7. Sexual exploitation of a minor in violation of § 728.12.
