904A.1 Board of parole — organization.
1. The board of parole is created to consist of five members. Each member shall be
appointed by the governor subject to confirmation by the senate. Each member shall serve a term of four years beginning and ending as provided by § 69.19, except for members appointed to fill vacancies who shall serve for the balance of the unexpired term. The terms shall be staggered. All members of the board shall be full-time, salaried members. A majority of the members of the board constitutes a quorum to transact business.
2. The governor shall appoint a member of the board as the chairperson of the board, subject to confirmation by the senate. The appointment as chairperson shall serve at the pleasure of the governor.
