Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 2A:26-11
- Defendant: In a civil suit, the person complained against; in a criminal case, the person accused of the crime.
- Lien: A claim against real or personal property in satisfaction of a debt.
The judgment in the action shall be a lien on defendant‘s real estate acquired either before or after the entry thereof.
