Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 2A:155-6
- Arrest: Taking physical custody of a person by lawful authority.
- State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
Section 2A:155-4 of this title shall not be construed so as to make unlawful any arrest in this state which would otherwise be lawful.
