Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 3B:28-19
- Estate: means all of the property of a decedent, minor or incapacitated individual, trust or other person whose affairs are subject to this title as the property is originally constituted and as it exists from time to time during administration. See New Jersey Statutes 3B:1-1
- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
N.J.S. 3A:37-6 is saved from repeal. This section provides that a widow who is evicted from her jointure may have it satisfied from the remainder of the husband’s real estate.
