Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 4:10-11
- Department: means the department of agriculture. See New Jersey Statutes 4:10-1
- Farm products: means any agricultural, dairy, poultry or horticultural product, or any product designed for food purposes, manufactured, derived or prepared principally from any agricultural, dairy, poultry or horticultural product or products, including any fresh or salt water food product. See New Jersey Statutes 4:10-1
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. - Secretary: means the secretary of agriculture. See New Jersey Statutes 4:10-1
In carrying out the provisions of this chapter, the secretary and the employees or agents of the department may enter, on any business day during the usual hours of business, any storehouse, warehouse, cold storage plant, packing house, stockyard, railroad yard, railroad car, or any other building or place where farm products are kept stored by any person engaged in storing, handling or marketing.
