- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. 10. a. No person under the age of 18 years shall be permitted to participate in any manner in any game or games of chance not conducted by a drawing, except that a person under the age of 18 years shall be permitted to play a game of chance not conducted by a drawing when the prize offered and awarded consists of merchandise only and does not include cash or money.
b. No person under the age of 18 years shall be permitted to participate in any manner in any game or games of chance conducted by a drawing, held, operated or conducted pursuant to any license issued under this act, except that a person under the age of 18 years shall be permitted to play an on-premises draw raffle, including a Penny auction, when any prize offered and awarded consists of merchandise only.
