- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. Special meetings of the stockholders of a bank may be called at any time by the president, the board of directors, the holders of not less than one-tenth of all shares outstanding with voting rights, or by such other officers or persons as may be so authorized in the certificate of incorporation or by-laws of the bank. At any time upon the written request of any person or persons entitled to call a special meeting, the secretary or cashier of the bank shall notify the stockholders of the call of a special meeting to be held at such time as the notice shall specify, but in no event shall such notice specify a time more than sixty days after the receipt of the request.
