- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. All applications for such license shall be sworn to and shall disclose the name and residence of the owner or person in whose interest such business is conducted, and shall further state the average quantity and kind, as nearly as can be, and the value of the personal property intended to be sold or exposed for sale in that municipality. It shall also give the names and post-office addresses of the persons from which goods making up the stock were or are to be purchased and the licensing official of the municipality in arriving at the valuation may require the submission of bills or invoices of such personal property. A separate license shall be obtained for each branch, establishment or separate place of business in which the occupation of a transient merchant or itinerant vendor is carried on, and each license shall authorize the licensee to carry on, pursue or conduct the business of a transient merchant or itinerant vendor only at the location indicated thereby.
