Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 48:16A-3
- person: includes corporations, companies, associations, societies, firms, partnerships and joint stock companies as well as individuals, unless restricted by the context to an individual as distinguished from a corporate entity or specifically restricted to one or some of the above enumerated synonyms and, when used to designate the owner of property which may be the subject of an offense, includes this State, the United States, any other State of the United States as defined infra and any foreign country or government lawfully owning or possessing property within this State. - State: extends to and includes any State, territory or possession of the United States, the District of Columbia and the Canal Zone. See New Jersey Statutes 1:1-2
If such owner operates more than one vehicle, he may file with the clerk of the municipality, in lieu of the policy required by section 2 of this act, a bond or insurance policy of a company duly licensed to transact business under the insurance laws of this State, in the sum of $105,000.00, which shall be a blanket insurance covering all vehicles operated by such owner which shall provide for the payment of any final judgment recovered by any person on account of the ownership, maintenance and use of any such vehicles or any fault in respect thereto, and shall be for the benefit of every person suffering loss, damage or injury as aforesaid.
