Terms Used In New Jersey Statutes 54:5-82
- Affidavit: A written statement of facts confirmed by the oath of the party making it, before a notary or officer having authority to administer oaths.
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Fraud: Intentional deception resulting in injury to another.
In the absence of fraud, no action shall be brought to contest or set aside the certificate of sale, notice and affidavit of service so recorded as a deed, or to recover possession of the lands so conveyed, after the expiration of two years from the date of their record.
