Terms Used In Michigan Laws 15.705
- Department: means the department of state. See Michigan Laws 15.703
- Public officer: means all of the following:
(i) A state representative. See Michigan Laws 15.703Report: means the financial disclosure report required under section 10 of article IV of the state constitution of 1963. See Michigan Laws 15.703 state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
(1) A public officer shall file an annual financial disclosure report with the department.
(2) The report required under this section must first be filed by April 15, 2024, and by May 15 of each year thereafter. This subsection does not apply to an individual who was a public officer only on the first day of the calendar year.
(3) If a public officer who is required to file a report under this act receives notice from the secretary of state under section 13(1)(g), the public officer shall, within 9 business days after receiving the notice, file corrections to the errors or omissions or file the report, as applicable.
