Any authority established under this act may purchase, lease, accept by gift or devise, private property for the public purposes herein set forth and for no other purposes. The market so established shall be deemed to be a public improvement under the provisions of Act No. 94 of the Public Acts of 1933, as amended, being section 141.101 to 141.139, inclusive, of the Compiled Laws of 1948.
