Terms Used In Michigan Laws 207.604
- Commercial housing facilities exemption certificate: means a certificate issued pursuant to sections 3, 4, and 5. See Michigan Laws 207.601
- Commission: means the state tax commission created by Act No. See Michigan Laws 207.601
- in writing: shall be construed to include printing, engraving, and lithographing; except that if the written signature of a person is required by law, the signature shall be the proper handwriting of the person or, if the person is unable to write, the person's proper mark, which may be, unless otherwise expressly prohibited by law, a clear and classifiable fingerprint of the person made with ink or another substance. - Local governmental unit: means a city, village, or township. See Michigan Laws 207.601
The legislative body of the local governmental unit, not more than 60 days after receipt by its clerk of the application, by resolution shall either approve or disapprove the application for a commercial housing facilities exemption certificate in accordance with section 7 and the other provisions of this act. If disapproved, the reasons shall be set forth in writing in the resolution and the clerk shall return the application to the applicant. If approved, the clerk shall forward the application to the commission.
