Terms Used In Michigan Laws 426.153

  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
     It shall be unlawful for any person other than the owner thereof, or by his consent, to make or place, or cause to be made or placed, any mark upon any log, spar, spile, boomstick, railroad tie, post, shinglebolt, timber or lumber floating upon or lying in any river, stream, lake, pond, bay, inlet or bayou or any other waters within this state or in any boom therein or on or near the shores or banks thereof.
