Terms Used In Michigan Laws 125.2054

  • Contract: A legal written agreement that becomes binding when signed.
  • Fund: means the Michigan strategic fund created under section 5, except where the context clearly requires a different definition. See Michigan Laws 125.2004
  • shall not apply: means that the pertinent provision is not operative as to certain persons or things or in conjunction with a particular date or dates. See Michigan Laws 8.4c
     To provide loan insurance pursuant to section 53, the fund may enter into a contract of insurance. The insurance code of 1956, Act No. 218 of the Public Acts of 1956, being section 500.100 to 500.8302 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, shall not apply to such an insurance contract and the fund shall not be considered an insurer subject to the insurance code of 1956, Act No. 218 of the Public Acts of 1956, by virtue of entering into such a contract.
