- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, as well as to individuals. See Michigan Laws 8.3l
“Operator” means a person, other than a chauffeur, who does either of the following:
(a) Operates a motor vehicle upon a highway or street.
(b) Operates an automated motor vehicle upon a highway or street.
