Terms Used In Michigan Laws 259.176

  • Person: means an individual, partnership, corporation, association, governmental entity, or other legal entity. See Michigan Laws 259.7
  • state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
     Except as otherwise provided in this act, a person who violates this act is responsible for a state civil infraction as provided for in chapter 88 of the revised judicature act of 1961, Act No. 236 of the Public Acts of 1961, being section 600.8801 to 600.8835 of the Michigan Compiled Laws, and is subject to a civil fine of not more than $500.00.
