- Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
- state: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. (1) From the state school aid fund money appropriated in section 11, there is allocated for 2023-2024 only an amount not to exceed $4,000,000.00 to Eaton RESA to support the efforts of FFA. The money under this section may be used for capital improvements and equipment, the credentialing and updating of Perkins 5, and for general agriculture education and current structures of FFA. Eaton RESA may retain for administrative services an amount not to exceed 5% of the grant amount.
(2) The funds allocated under this section for 2023-2024 are a work project appropriation, and any unexpended funds for 2023-2024 are carried forward into 2024-2025. The purpose of the work project is to support the purposes of this section. The estimated completion date of the work project is September 30, 2027.
(3) Notwithstanding section 17b, the department shall make payments under this section on a schedule determined by the department.
