Terms Used In Michigan Laws 600.1099ll
- Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
- Department: means the department of health and human services. See Michigan Laws 600.1099aa
- family: means all individuals whom the child and parent define as family. See Michigan Laws 600.1099aa
- Family treatment court: means either of the following:
(i) A court-supervised treatment program for individuals with a civil child abuse or neglect case and who are diagnosed with a substance use disorder. See Michigan Laws 600.1099aastate: when applied to the different parts of the United States, shall be construed to extend to and include the District of Columbia and the several territories belonging to the United States; and the words "United States" shall be construed to include the district and territories. See Michigan Laws 8.3o
(1) The supreme court is responsible for the expenditure of state funds for the establishment and operation of family treatment courts. Federal funds provided to the state for the operation of family treatment courts must be distributed by the department or the appropriate state agency as otherwise provided by law.
(2) The state treasurer may receive money or other assets from any source for deposit into the appropriate state fund or funds for the purposes described in subsection (1).
(3) Each family treatment court shall report quarterly to the state court administrative office on the funds received and expended by that family treatment court, in a manner prescribed by the state court administrative office.
