- Remainder: An interest in property that takes effect in the future at a specified time or after the occurrence of some event, such as the death of a life tenant.
A person seized of an estate in remainder or reversion, may maintain an action of trespass on the case, for any injury done to the inheritance, notwithstanding any intervening estate for life or years.
