(1) The department shall produce, print, and make available to retailers notices required by section 17103.
    (2) A retailer who fails to post a notice required by this part following warning by the department is subject to a civil fine of $25.00 per day of violation.

Terms Used In Michigan Laws 324.17104

  • Department: means the director of the department of natural resources or his or her designee to whom the director delegates a power or duty by written instrument. See Michigan Laws 324.301
  • Retailer: means a person who sells or offers to sell batteries to consumers within this state. See Michigan Laws 324.17101
    (3) A default in the payment of a civil fine ordered under this part may be remedied by any means authorized under the revised judicature act of 1961, Act No. 236 of the Public Acts of 1961, being section 600.101 to 600.9947 of the Michigan Compiled Laws.
