For purposes of special elections, the term “revised registry list last completed”, as used in sections 9-170, 9-171 and 9-172, means the registry list last completed for the last regular election held in the municipality or political subdivision holding the special election, together with the updated list of persons in such municipality or political subdivision who acquired voting privileges since the completion of such list compiled under section 9-172b.
Terms Used In Connecticut General Statutes 9-172a
- Election: means any electors' meeting at which the electors choose public officials by use of voting tabulators or by paper ballots as provided in section 9-272. See Connecticut General Statutes 9-1
- Municipality: means any city, borough or town within the state. See Connecticut General Statutes 9-1
- Registry list: means the list of electors of any municipality certified by the registrars. See Connecticut General Statutes 9-1
- Special election: means any election not a regular election. See Connecticut General Statutes 9-1
