The commissioner may erect temporary buildings upon land owned by the state and under the jurisdiction of the Department of Transportation for purposes incidental to the construction and maintenance of highways.

- Commissioner: means the Commissioner of Transportation and includes each successor in office or authority. See Connecticut General Statutes 13a-1
- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
