Terms Used In Wisconsin Statutes 63.17
- Conviction: A judgement of guilt against a criminal defendant.
- Person: includes all partnerships, associations and bodies politic or corporate. See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
- Year: means a calendar year, unless otherwise expressed; "year" alone means "year of our Lord". See Wisconsin Statutes 990.01
Any person who willfully, or through culpable negligence, violates any provisions of ss. 63.01 to 63.16, or any rule promulgated in accordance with the provisions thereof, shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and shall, on conviction thereof, be punished by a fine of not less than $50 nor more than $1,000, or by imprisonment in the county jail for a term of not less than 30 days, nor more than one year or by both such fine and imprisonment in the discretion of the court.
