Terms Used In Missouri Laws 29.205
- Audit: an independent, objective assessment of the stewardship, performance, or cost of government policies, programs, or operations, depending upon the type and scope of the audit. See Missouri Laws 29.005
- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
Notwithstanding any provision of law to the contrary, the state auditor shall have the power to audit any school district or charter school within the state in the same manner as the auditor may audit any agency of the state.
