Terms Used In Missouri Laws 30.090

  • person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020
  • Settlement: Parties to a lawsuit resolve their difference without having a trial. Settlements often involve the payment of compensation by one party in satisfaction of the other party's claims.

If the general assembly shall be in session when such settlement is made, it shall cause to be made out and delivered to the person entitled thereto a certificate of such settlement, showing the balance of moneys, securities and effects for which he is accountable, and what has been delivered to his successor.
