Terms Used In Missouri Laws 53.260

  • Appropriation: The provision of funds, through an annual appropriations act or a permanent law, for federal agencies to make payments out of the Treasury for specified purposes. The formal federal spending process consists of two sequential steps: authorization
  • State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020

Subject to appropriation, expenses incurred by the assessor or assessor-elect in attending courses of study and additional courses referred to in sections 53.250 to 53.265* shall be paid by the state. Fees for registration, books and materials may be directly billed to the state as provided by the commissioner of administration. The cost of transportation, lodging and meals shall be reimbursed to the assessor or assessor-elect in the manner provided by the commissioner of administration.
