Missouri Laws 64.212 – Termination of county planning, election — ballot form
1. Upon receipt of a petition signed by a number of voters, resident in the county, equal to five percent of the total votes cast in the county at the next preceding election for governor requesting an election on the question, the county commission in any county which has adopted a county plan as authorized by section 64.211 shall, at a special election called for that purpose or at the next general election, submit to the voters of the county the proposition to terminate the program. The county clerk shall prepare the ballot substantially in the following form:

To vote in favor of the question, place an “X” in the box opposite the word “YES”. To vote against the question place an “X” in the box opposite the word “NO”. |

2. If a majority of those voting on the question vote for the termination of the program, the county commission shall declare the program terminated and shall discharge any board appointed thereunder. Any resolution, ordinance or regulation adopted under the program pursuant to the provisions of sections 64.211 to 64.295 shall be void and of no effect from and after the termination of the program as provided in this section.
