  • Gift: A voluntary transfer or conveyance of property without consideration, or for less than full and adequate consideration based on fair market value.

All such cities are hereby granted the right and power to acquire by purchase, condemnation or gift all necessary land and easements within and without the city for the purpose of waterworks, electrical power plants to supply the inhabitants of such cities with water and electrical energy, for the construction, maintenance and alteration of levees to protect the inhabitants of such cities and towns and for any other public use.
