- board: means the state board of registration for the healing arts in the state of Missouri. See Missouri Laws 334.020
- Complaint: A written statement by the plaintiff stating the wrongs allegedly committed by the defendant.
- person: may extend and be applied to bodies politic and corporate, and to partnerships and other unincorporated associations. See Missouri Laws 1.020
- Probable cause: A reasonable ground for belief that the offender violated a specific law.
Upon receiving information that any provision of sections 334.010, 334.190 and 334.250 has been or is being violated, the secretary of the board or other person designated by the board shall investigate, and upon probable cause appearing, the secretary shall, under the direction of the board, file a complaint with the administrative hearing commission or appropriate official or court. All such complaints shall be handled as provided by rule promulgated pursuant to section 324.002.
