- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
Any insurance company, other than life, incorporated and organized under the laws of this state, and now doing business in this state, may surrender its charter, and accept in lieu of said charter the provisions of the general insurance statutes, and reorganize thereunder in the manner herein set forth.
