1. No company organized or operating under the provisions of sections 380.201 to 380.591* shall pay any commission or other compensation to any person for any services, as agent, in obtaining in this state any contract of insurance except to an agent, agency or broker licensed by the department of commerce and insurance of the state of Missouri.
2. Any insurance agent, agency or broker that acts as such in connection with the procurement of an insurance contract through a company organized or operating under the provisions of sections 380.201 to 380.591 shall be subject to the provisions of sections 375.012 to 375.146.
