- Damages: Money paid by defendants to successful plaintiffs in civil cases to compensate the plaintiffs for their injuries.
Any number of owners owning lands in the same county or judicial circuit may be joined in one petition, and the damages to each shall be separately assessed by the same commissioners or jury.
