(a) Remedies provided by sections 454.1500 to 454.1728 are cumulative and do not affect the availability of remedies under other law or the recognition of a foreign support order on the basis of comity.
(b) Sections 454.1500 to 454.1728 do not:

- Jurisdiction: (1) The legal authority of a court to hear and decide a case. Concurrent jurisdiction exists when two courts have simultaneous responsibility for the same case. (2) The geographic area over which the court has authority to decide cases.
- State: when applied to any of the United States, includes the District of Columbia and the territories, and the words "United States" includes such district and territories. See Missouri Laws 1.020
(1) provide the exclusive method of establishing or enforcing a support order under the law of this state; or
(2) grant a tribunal of this state jurisdiction to render judgment or issue an order relating to child custody or visitation in a proceeding under sections 454.1500 to 454.1728.
