Terms Used In Missouri Laws 455.210

  • Domestic violence: abuse or stalking committed by a family or household member, as such terms are defined in this section. See Missouri Laws 455.010

The governing body of the city or county shall designate in the order or ordinance imposing the fees, as provided in section 455.205*, an appropriate board, commission, agency or other body of the county, or city, as the authority to administer the allocation and distribution of the funds to shelters for victims of domestic violence in the manner provided in sections 455.200 to 455.230. The members of the designated authority may be reimbursed from the special fund for moneys actually and necessarily expended in the performance of their duties under the provisions of sections 455.200 to 455.230, but not more than five percent of the fees collected pursuant to section 455.205* may be used for such purposes.
