1. All public sales of real estate, made by order of the court, shall be made at the courthouse door of the county in which the real estate is situated, or at such other place in the county as may be fixed by the court order, at the time specified in the notice, and shall be conducted openly by auction.

2. The executor or administrator may adjourn the sale from time to time, but not for longer than three months in all. Every adjournment shall be announced publicly at the time and place fixed for the sale.
