Terms Used In Massachusetts General Laws ch. 190B sec. 3-907
- Assets: (1) The property comprising the estate of a deceased person, or (2) the property in a trust account.
- Deed: The legal instrument used to transfer title in real property from one person to another.
- Evidence: Information presented in testimony or in documents that is used to persuade the fact finder (judge or jury) to decide the case for one side or the other.
If distribution in kind is made, the personal representative shall execute an instrument or deed of distribution assigning, transferring or releasing the assets to the distributee as evidence of the distributee’s title to the property.
